I'm very excited about this, because 1 year ago this was the first giveaway hop I entered :D Thought we should celebrate!

Loot:
10 $ Book Depository 'Gift Card' - you need to have a PayPal account of your own or that you can use to claim the prize. I'll donate the 10 $ to the account you give me, with the understanding you'll get yourself whatever book(s) you want from the Book Depository.

  4. Thanks for trusting your followers! I have no problems with the blogger buying the book for me (I am, after all, in his or her hands) but there are many pros to buying the book by myself. Most important of them is being able to track the book. And then, sometimes, I want to buy this book but I'm embarrassed to let other people know I'm buying it... (-_-)

  5. I thought about that too, yes I trust my followers and I also respect their privacy. I'm happy you feel that way, too.
For one thing it's better to be able to track the order by the winner, and for another maybe you wanna buy a book that's, I dunno, 20 $. That's the book you want, right, so instead you'd have to spend the 10 $ I'm giving away on something else since you can't add your 10 $ to mine, say, and get the one you did want. This, plus the fact it's easier for me to donate the $ then buy something for someone (have to convert to euros, bla bla bla), convinced me to go this way. Sadly there are those who don't have a PayPal or access to one, so for them it would have been easier for me to order it instead. Maybe I'l put up a poll on this, see what you guys think about it overall. :)

  8. Sorry Dian, the terms of the giveaway require you to have a PayPal account or access to one with the help of a relative, friend, etc to claim the prize.
It's a choice I made before the giveaway and I won't change it during :)
